This is insane you guys! The mesmer has no, or very few, efficient farming builds! Yes, I've checked out the Solo section but many of those provide little to nothing that isn't worth the time today.

Ever since Mesmers lost the joy of Shiroken farming, which was a big source of skill points for me, I find it harder and harder to find something of interest that will be good to play on him!

So, does anyone have any solo/farming builds that isn't listed somewhere? IE: Witte's Solo Farming list?

there are many builds that use Mesmer as the secondary (ex. A/me tombs solo, N/Me SS, etc.) however there is almost no point to being a primary mesmer, since, the only good thing about a mesmer (IMO) is the skills. Yes, as a primary mesmers you can use the runes to make things better, but mesmers have seemed to fade out of the Guild Wars community entirely and I almost never see a primary mesmer in my Guild Wars travels.

there's a way to solo Koosun as a Mes primary, but since I don't have one I never looked into it

edit: most earth bosses spam stone daggers which makes them backfire fodder if you can find cover

Ive never actually farmed with my mesmer, aside from the modded ele troll farming build. its just the lack of defencive skills and low armour. i would still love to solo the la titans.

We really need a good set of Mesmer farming builds.

Everyone here knows that a Mesmer can knock out about anyones they want to , we just need to get a farming build (once more) that can knock out Lv. 28 mobs.

I love the r/me or me/r spirit shackles/sig of midnight/spirit of failure/primal echoes for healsig warriors, not fast but works everytime.

Ho ho, i think i may have an ace up my sleeve...
I have an idea to solo farm with my mesmer... i will post it as soon as it is tested/ completed/skills capped.

I did forget about Wittes, I do admit that. Surely Mesmers have more then just this though avaiable...I mean come on, Shiroken! Elementalist couldn't even take them on.

Actually that is based on the Elementalist build, but if you play it on a mesmer primary to pull out enough damage, you will need to use Echo/SS and bodyblocking instead of the Dragon Stomp/Aftershock combo.

Since I was asked by private message about the weapons and attributes setup, I'm writing them here too:

6 + 1 + 3 - Illusion Magic
10 - Inspiration Magic
6 - Air Magic
12 - Earth Magic

Weapons: +5en/%20 enchants and +30hp/-2stance shield (a -2 enchant will do too)

Note: Stoneflesh absorption, acts on the damage reduced by Mantra of Earth only if you cast SF after MoE. With Mesmer Primary you need this in order to get 0 damage from every hit. I suggest to cast MoE during the cast time of Stoneflesh, to have minimal downtimes.

yeah that was avarre's UW solo build.....also wtih SB nerf I like to use hybrid 55/SB just as avarre and KCP do for their mes and nec builds. I think most mesmer farms are usually mirrors of others, like the ele sandstorm UW build. The thing is most of the mesmers skills are indirect damage and utility skills, not much to kill off mobs besides IW. I'm working on my mesmer to try out ineptitude, it looks very potent with the monster ai scatter, though may be as slow as IW =/ I wanna try it on aataxes also for speed farming =]

I thought I posted a build for soloing Stonereaper, weaver and wrath in arborstone a while back - you just use spirit shackles, empathy, [also diversion and optional backfire] and a wall, pretty much.

Also, you can solo Whispering Ritual Lord pretty easy (originally with ineptitude spike, then spiritual pain, now, I dunno)

What do you think of going 105 or 55 with SOA and/or Shielding Hands, and/or under Mantra of Recovery to keep them going at all times?

How does SoA+shielding hands tanking look like? I can get the general idea but do you have self heals on you or are you relying on taking 0 dmg all the time to have none?
